The first “Lada-Priora” cars came off the assembly line in Chechnya
On August, 23, the first makes of “Lada-Priora” cars were produced in Argun, the third biggest town of Chechnya, at the plant “Chechenavto”.
“Argun plant has produced the first “Lada-Priora” cars which will replace the seventh model of “Zhiguli” produced until recently”, the Ministry of Industry and Energetics of Chechnya reported.
“Serial output of this series of cars will start in September. Till the end of this year it is planned to assemble 300 to 400 cars”, a representative of the office said.
Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that the enterprise “Chechenavto” was established in 2008 on the basis of former plant “Pishemash” in the town of Argun. The total number of cars assembled in Chechnya for the past three years comes to about one hundred. Next year it is panned to assemble already about four thousand “Lada-Priora” cars and by 2016 about 50 thousand cars are going to come off the assembly line of Argun plant.
