Bodyguards of Armenian MP and President's brother wounded in skirmish

In Armenia, the state of health of the bodyguards wounded in the shootout in the restaurant "Arsnakar" is treated by medics as moderate gravity. Their lives are out of danger, say the doctors of the surgery ward of the medical centre "Armenia".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that late at night on August 14 in Yerevan, at a wedding party held in the restaurant complex "Arsnakar" two persons were wounded in a gunfight. The participants of the incident were Gersand Mkrtchyan, a bodyguard of Ruben Airapetyan, a Deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia, and Norik Atoyan, a bodyguard of Sashik Sargsyan, brother of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

However, the summary published on the official website of the Police of the Republic of Armenia has no information about the shooting in the restaurant. The fact of the incident was not confirmed at the restaurant complex, where the conflict had allegedly burst out.

An expert, who preferred to remain anonymous, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that, most likely, the incident had many witnesses: "However, nobody dares to say anything. It's no joke, as President's brother is mentioned."
