In Astrakhan, "watermelon" tourist route was opened
The State Reserve Museum of the Astrakhan city opens a new agricultural tourist bus route "Generosity of the Astrakhan's Land", which will introduce to the melon-growing to the visitors.
"The purpose of the sightseeing tour is to introduce to the tourists the history of the melon-growing in the Lower Volga region, the watermelon biological characteristics, and the laboratory's work in watermelon selection and seed breeding. The entire route is planned to give the audience the most accurate and comprehensive information not only on watermelon, but on the Astrakhan Region in the entire," the press service of the Regional Ministry of Culture stated.
Tourists will be told about the climatic features and geographical situation of the region, about the history of villages. In the village of Tabola, the tourists will visit the museum "Russian watermelon" and take a look at its exhibits.
Directly at the watermelon plantation, the tourist will be able to see with their own eyes watermelon growing and, of course, to taste it.
