Kutaisi buried Georgian woman shot dead in terror act in Norway

Today, the city of Kutaisi has hosted a funeral ceremony of Tamta Liparteliani, a Georgian student, who perished in Norway during the terror act at the youth camp on the island of Uteoya, was held.

Mikhail Saakashvili, President of Georgia, Erling Shonsberg, Norwegian Ambassador to Georgia and Azerbaijan and Signe Brudeset, Political Advisor of the Norwegian Foreign Minister, came to the girl's funeral in Kutaisi.

Mikhail Saakashvili expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased girl and stated that the crime committed in Norway had no excuse, the "Interfax" reports.

Let us remind you that Tamta Liparteliani and Natiya Chkhetiani, two Georgian students, from the organization "Young Socialists" were in the youth camp on the island of Uteoya. Natiya Chkhetiani managed to escape during an attack of Anders Breivik on the youth camp. Tamta Liparteliani was in a list of missing people; however, later her body was identified among the deceased. The girl had two bullet wounds in her back.
