Jury to consider case on Sviridov's murder was formed
The Moscow City Court has formed the jury for the case on the murder of Yegor Sviridov, a fan of the football club "Spartak", who was killed last December in Moscow. According to the press service of the court, the jury consists of 12 main jurors and eight substitute jurors.
Today, 50 candidates were invited to the court session to form the jury. The session was held behind closed doors.
An open court hearing on the merits was appointed for August 5, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. The selected jurors will participate in the court proceedings against all six defendants. Earlier, five of them refused to face a jury trial, and only Aslan Cherkesov, the main figurant, petitioned for a jury trial.
Today, the Court found it impossible to divide cases of the five defendants into separate proceedings.
The prosecutor is expected to read out the charges at the first session, and then the defendants will answer whether they plead guilty, the "RAPSI" reports.
