Third meeting within dialogue "authorities-opposition" to be held in Armenia on August 4

The second meeting between representatives of the ruling coalition and the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), which was held on July 26, formed the agenda of the talks to be focused on the elections.

Davit Arutyunyan, the coordinator of the working group of the ruling coalition, the representative of the Republican Party of Armenia, told the journalists that the agenda included two issues: one – from the opposition and another – from the authorities.

The ANC's proposal is to conduct early elections. With the aim of the soonest formation of the legitimate authorities in Armenia, the opposition offer to hold early parliamentary and presidential elections and to implement for that a range of necessary activities aimed at ensuring transparency, justice and legality of the elections.

The proposal of the ruling coalition is as follows: to hold elections at the proper level, to establish necessarily the rules to ensure a civilized political competitiveness. The next meeting will be held at noon on August 4.
