A beach for disabled persons opened in Novorossiisk
A special beach for physically challenged people was opened in Novorossiisk. However, according to the disabled visitors themselves, the new social object needs improvement.
Children with damages of supporting-motor apparatus and cerebral spastic infantile paralysis from Krasnodar branch of the Russian Peace Foundation as well as disabled people from Krymsk and Novorossiisk took part in the opening ceremony. Volunteers were working on the opening day rendering aid to the visitors, “Agency of Social Information” reports.
“This is the only beach for physically challenged people within the area from Novorossiisk to Abkhazia”, Tatiana Tribrat, Leader of “Aqua” Center of Ecologic Education, one of the originators of this recreation object, said.
In the disabled people’s opinion, the beach needs development of supplementary infrastructure. Concreted walks to the edge of the water and an environment easy of access for travel of people in wheelchairs are necessary here, “Yuga.ru” reports.
