A soldier in Stavropol jumped out of the window after a conflict with an officer

A major in Stavropol region who was displeased with the fact that a soldier did not fulfill his order to clean up the territory of the military unit took away his tommy gun and struck him with the buttstock in his head, a source in the investigative bodies reported. After that the soldier jumped down from the fifth floor of the barracks.

The extraordinary event in the military unit in Stavropol region took place on July, 7, but the news appeared only on July, 18.

According to preliminary data, an alarm for instruction was announced in the military unit No 83313. In accordance with the quarter-bill, soldier Leonid Malkov after receiving arms took over as the quarter commissionaire. After that the Chief of Staff of the unit several times ordered him to clear up the territory adjacent to the Headquarters.

According to the investigation, the soldier disobeyed the officer several times explaining him that “the work should be done by persons who take over the staff duty and he was only standing in for them for the period of alarm”.

The investigators established that after that a conflict occurred between the soldier and the officer during which the latter beat up his subordinate. Several hours later Malkov went up to the fifth floor of the building and threw himself out of the window. The solder survived, STRC “Stavropolie” reports.

Major Skvortosov was temporarily suspended from command of the servicemen of the military unit, RIA “Novosti” reports.

A source in the Investigative Department of Stavropol garrison reported that the officer had already come as self-reported criminal and confessed having used violence against the soldier.
