Dagestan: eight people injured in explosion at rally venue
Today at about 11:30 a.m. an explosion occurred at the turn to Mutsalaul village of Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the republic.
Today at this point a rally condemning violence against Muslims was to be held.
"Power agents arrived at the rally venue with special equipment and when they stopped a car passing along the federal highway "Caucasus" to examine documents, an explosion occurred," said a Dagestani law enforcement official.
8 people were wounded in explosion in Khasavyurt District: four policemen and four civilians. 7 victims were hospitalized, one was rendered first aid on the scene and he was allowed to go home, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
