Unidentified people in Volgograd district attacked a prayer house of Jehovah's Witnesses

At night of July, 8, two young men stoned a prayer house of Jehovah's Witnesses in the town of Kotovo, Volgograd region. The double-glass pane was broken. There were no victims.

The believers submitted a statement to the police. An inspection is going on.

“These actions exectly repeated the incidents which took place on September, 20, 2009, and March, 31, 2010. In 2010 the identity of the criminals was established, they were local residents Alexey Pavlov born in 1992 and Yuri Podtelezhnikov born in 1992. They were not made criminally liable because the cost of the damage turned out to be under 2500 rubles”, a statement of Managing Center of Jehovah's Witnesses runs.

Assaults at prayer houses of Jehovah's Witnesses have also happened in other localities of Volgograd region. In particular, at night of January, 1, 2010, deliberate arsons in the buildings of two religious organizations were committed in the town of Volzhsky. One of the damaged houses was the “Hall of Worship” (this is the name given by the believers to buildings specially meant for public liturgy) of Jehovah's Witnesses. The criminals then used bottles with flame liquid.
