Dagestan to open a new medrese by September 1

By September 1, the village of Novo-Sasitli will open a new Islamic school- medrese for 150 pupils. The construction is funded by Muslims' donations.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the medrese was built by Israil Akhmednabiev, a resident of Novo-Sasitli, who had studied Islamic sciences at universities in Syria and Egypt for more than a decade.

According of Israil, who is helped by other people's donations, many did not believe that he would bring the construction to the end. He plans to do it by September 1.

Next to the medrese, he plans to build an orphanage, where children will have all conditions for going in for sports and receive specialities. "Orphans make the least protected layer of the population, deprived of the parental love and care. The duty of every Muslim is to take care of them. We will try to create all the conditions for children to promote their spiritual and athletic training," said Akhmednabiev and added that there are many people willing to help.

The administration of the Khasavyurt District has allocated three hectares of land for building the medrese, the orphanage, houses and the stadiums and sports grounds. According to Israil Akhmednabiev, the leadership of the district has fully supported his construction ideas.
