Retirees in Kabardino-Balkaria will be learning to use PC and Internet

The Ministry of Labour and Social Development of Kabardino-Balkaria is organizing classes of computer literacy and work on the Net specially for elderly people for them to feel it more convenient to submit all kinds of complaints and statements.

This news was reported by Minister of Labour and Social Development of KBR Albert Tubeev on July, 7, at a press conference on the results of the activities of the office during the past six months.

According to Albert Tubeev, the Ministry is also planning to open informational points in most frequently attended places where elderly people would be able to get information on any question they are interested in. At the moment the only way to get information is to use the hot-line of the Ministry.

A similar project is being realized in Astrakhan since September, 2009. The major goal of the social project “Web for Everyone” is to teach elderly people to use PC, Internet and electronic terminals.
