Court releases accused of attack on Nalchik from custody for medical treatment

Today at the session of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria on the case of the attack on Nalchik in 2005 the Court decided to change the pre-trial restrictions for the defendant Sergey Kaziev on recognizance not to leave, allowing him to get the necessary medical treatment in the city infectious hospital.

Sergey Kaziev filed a motion for consideration of the case without his presence due to health deterioration on July 4, on that day he was delivered at the court hearing due to poor health.

Then Judge Galina Gorislavskaya, who chaired the process, informed the participants of the process that there was the conclusion decision of the head of the medical unit of the detention facility, medical assistant and inspector of the medical unit. The conclusion decision stated that "Kaziev sought medical treatment for health reasons", but later he rejected it, although it was acknowledged that the defendant needed this medical treatment.

According to the read conclusion decision of the doctors, Kaziev suffers from "liver cirrhosis in active phase". Today the Court decided to grant Kaziev a possibility to obtain the necessary medical treatment in the city infectious hospital.
