Moscow court receives appeals against Oleg Orlov's acquittal
The judicial precinct No. 363 of the Khamovniki District Court of Moscow has received an appeal complaint from Andrei Krasnenkov, the legal representative of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, against the court's decision to acquit Oleg Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial". An appeal presentation was received also from the prosecutor's office.
"Both appeals arrived yesterday, on July 5," said Genry Reznik, Oleg Orlov's advocate. He added that he would write an objection and submit it to the district court. Then, the court will appoint a session for consideration.
The judicial precinct No. 363 neither confirmed nor refuted this information to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
On June 24, Andrei Krasnenkov, the legal representative of Ramzan Kadyrov, submitted his complaint against the acquittal of Oleg Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the HRC "Memorial", from the charges of slandering his client, to the office of Magistrate Court No. 363 of the Khamovniki District Court of Moscow.
