Court sentences figurants in case of children's death in Yeysk Spit to terms in colony
The Yeysk City Court of the Krasnodar Territory has announced the sentence to two employees of the Moscow school accused of the death of six schoolchildren in the camp of "Azov".
According to Igor Kasyanenko, the state prosecutor, the court found Irina Ryabova, the deputy director of the secondary school No. 1065, guilty under the article of "negligence, entailing death of two or more persons on imprudence", and the teacher Alexei Bagryantsev – under the article of "negligence, entailing infliction of serious health damage or death of person on imprudence".
"The court has sentenced Ryabova to 4 years and Bagryantsev – to 2.5 years of deprivation of freedom. The court also deprived them of the right to be engaged in educational activity for a period of three years," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the prosecutor as saying.
The state prosecution demanded five and three years of settlement colony for Ryabova and Bagryantsev, accordingly. The parents of the perished children demanded to sentence Ryabova to seven years and Bagryantsev – to five years of imprisonment.
