MIA: one of sisters assassinated in Chechnya was pregnant

Chechnya continues investigating the killing of two sisters, the youngest of whom was 15 years old. The bodies of the girls were sent to examination, the local law enforcers assert. Their father who confessed of murdering one of the daughters by negligence is under threat of up to 20 years in prison.

The father of the casualties – Ruslan Musaev, 48, – who on June 28 surrendered to the police, said that when he was in the yard he heard a shot inside the house and ran into the room. There, he saw that his younger daughter Jamila took the submachine gun which was kept in the house and shot her elder sister Milana dead. As Musaev continued, while trying to take away the gun from Jamila, another occasional shot was triggered and killed the girl in place.

"It is unclear yet what had caused the quarrel between the sisters, during which one of them shot the other one dead. The bodies of the girls are now under forensic examination. Perhaps the reason for the scandal was the fact that one of them was pregnant (both girls were not married). The investigation also finds out the origin of the Kalashnikov, which was kept by the Musaev family illegally," said a source from law enforcement bodies of Chechnya.
