Security Council of Ingushetia refutes data that Dokku Umarov is in local forests

The officials of the Security Council of the Republic of Ingushetia are categorically refuting the information that the leader of the North-Caucasian armed underground Dokku Umarov may be hiding in the Djeirakh District of the republic, as had been reported earlier by a source from law enforcement bodies of Chechnya.

"This information is unverified and unjustified; on the contrary, the situation in the Djeirakh District has been completely stabilized," said the spokesman of the Security Council of Ingushetia.

"We protect every square inch of the territory; surveillance cameras have been installed everywhere. Not that Umarov, but even a mole can't slip into the area unnoticed, not to mention a chance to hide there for a long time," said a high-ranking officer from law enforcement agencies of the republic.

The whole Djeirakh District of Ingushetia is considered to be within the zone of the state border of the Russian Federation with realization of a package of measures "to ensure a tough pre-border regime," said the Ingush power agent. In fact, any presence in the district, in whatever territory, of an alien person is impossible, said an official of the republic's MIA.
