Eleven victims of Vladikavkaz explosion are in extremely grave condition

According to preliminary data, the explosion of a gas cylinder that happened at a wedding party in Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia, struck 46 persons, five children aged from 2 to 7 among them. Doctors find the health condition of 11 of them, including 3 children as extremely grave; they are all in the intensive care units.

Most of the victims have burn injuries. The Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) is going to send its special Il-76 aircraft to North Ossetia with the mission to bring the gravest patients to Moscow hospitals. The Moscow and North-Ossetia doctors are to decide jointly on those who need transportation to Moscow.

The Chief Department for North Ossetia of the Russian MfE has opened a telephone hot line, where victims' relatives may learn about the place of hospitalization of those who suffered at the explosion of domestic gas in Vladikavkaz.

Psychologists from the MfE are rendering help to the victims and their relatives, since some of which are in the state of shock.
