"Krylia Sovetov" fined by 300,000 roubles because of incident with "Anji"'s captain
Today, the Control and Disciplinary Committee (CDC) of the Russian Football Union (RFU) fined the club "Krylia Sovetov" (Wings of the Soviets) (Samara) by 300,000 roubles for the incident with a banana thrown at the Brazilian player Roberto Carlos, the captain of the "Anji" FC.
In accordance with the CDC, the Samara club has to pay 100 thousand roubles for a racist outburst, and another 200 thousand roubles - for failing to ensure the order during the match, the "Interfax" reports.
The club "Krylia Sovetov" will face no other penalties (earlier, there was information about possible withdrawal of the team three points), because the CDC considered that the incident was a provocation of a single person, told Vladimir Katkov, the chairman of the CDC.
"The hooligan's personality has been defined, and a fax sent to us by the club "Krylia Sovetov" confirms that. Now the competent authorities are searching for him," the "Sport-Express" quoted Mr Katkov's speech.
