Kabardino-Balkaria: bodies of WW II soldiers found
In Kabardino-Balkaria, on Mount Elbrus, bodies of three soldiers of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) were found. Konstantin Shershov, an alpine skiing instructor, discovered the remains of the perished soldiers.
According to the "Caucasian Knot" interlocutor, he found the bodies of soldiers at an altitude of 3600 meters. According to Konstantin, he found the remains of three soldiers, but there might be other bodies. Soldiers' remains were found in the ice crack, they are frozen, and it is impossible to get them out at present. According to Shershov, it will be possible in late August, when the ice gets melted.
One body presented skeleton by itself, another bodies preserved better due to the glacier. One can see soldiers' overcoats and guns, said the instructor.
Konstantin Shershov said that in late August an expedition would be organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, and it would remove the remains from the mountain.
