Alexei Dudko's advocate files cassation against court's decision

On June 14, lawyer Abusupyan Gaitaev filed a brief cassation complaint against the decision of the Taganka District Court, which had sentenced the blogger Alexei Dudko to six years of colony imprisonment. Mr Gaitaev himself told about it to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The brief complaint says that the June verdict of the Taganka District Court is unlawful, unjustified and unfair, since the court's conclusions fail to match the facts of the criminal case, contain gross violations of the law of criminal procedure and misuses of the criminal law," said Abusupyan Gaitaev.

According to his story, the complaint further contains a request to "cancel the verdict of the Taganka District Court and stop Dudko's criminal case."

"The higher court, which is the Moscow City Court, may stop the case whatsoever. A detailed complaint will be lodged after we get acquainted with the protocol of the court session," said the lawyer.
