NCFD plans to create more than 90,000 new jobs

The most effective solution to the problem of new jobs in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) is to implement 70 selected investment projects, said Sergey Vereschagin, Deputy Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation at the first sitting of the working group on employment and labour migration in the NCFD, convoked in the city of Yessentuki.

As stated on June 3 by Alexander Khloponin, Russian President's Plenipotentiary for the NCFD, high-readiness projects will be included into the 50-billion-rouble-worth state support programme for the NCFD.

"These are particular investors; these are complete legally formed business plans. Through implementation of these 70 projects it is planned to create more than 93,000 new jobs. Of these, the first priority projects will create 16,000 workplaces," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Vereschagin as saying.

In total, the programmes to be implemented in the NCFD until 2016 plan to create 143,000 new jobs.
