Dagestan: car of head of Untsukul District Electric Grid blown up

In the morning on June 11, in the highway "Untsukul-Shamilkala", explosive devices were triggered, when the VAZ-21014 car with the above head of the Untsukul District Electric Grid inside was passing by.

Two IEDs (improvised explosive devices) having the total power of about 1 kilo in TNT (trotyl) equivalent were hidden in the roadside. The explosion caused no casualties and victims. The car received minor damages, a source from the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

When examining the place of the incident, power agents detected residues of an unexploded IED stuffed with striking elements in the form of sliced pieces of reinforcement bars; the device comprised a car alarm unit with an antenna, batteries and wires, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

At noon explosive specialists of the OMON (riot police) "Zubr" (Bison) of the MIA neutralized the IED.
