IAEA experts are satisfied with the work of the Armenian NPP

The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) poses no threat to the region. The works to improve its safety have been effective; and we are satisfied with the condition of the object, said today Gabor Vamos, head of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) commission for studying the situation at the NPP.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above IAEA commission included experts from nine countries around the world.

"The two-week examination of the Armenian NPP has brought the IAEA mission to the conclusion that operation of the NPP may be extended after 2016," said Gabor Vamos.
