The Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia accuses Russia of organizing an act of terror

The Department of Constitutional Security of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia prevented an act of terror two residents of Abkhazia were going to commit upon the instructions of Russian special services, the Georgian Ministry of Interior Affairs reports. 

According to the information of the office, the personnel of local law enforcement bodies in Samegrelo district of Georgia detained Abesalom Chkhetia and Tamila Benia residing in Gali district of Abkhazia. The detained had an explosive with them which was confiscated by the police.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia sates that according to the detainees' evidence, they had had an instruction to commit an act of terror in the territory of Abkhazia from officers of the Russian special services Igor Vlasov and Sergey Kuzmin. 

The Department of Constitutional Security of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia is continuing investigation to establish new details of the case, "Georgia Online" reports. 

The explosive confiscated from the detainees was defused, RIA "Novosti" reports.

Both the Russian and the Abkhazian parties have not yet commented on the accusation from the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia.
