Last respects ceremony towards Sergey Bagapsh will be held in Moscow today

Last respects ceremony towards President of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh will be held in Moscow Cultural Center of the Ministry of Defense at eleven o'clock in the morning today. A representative of Press service of the Cultural Center confirmed this information.

Alexander Anquab temporarily acting as President has chaired State Committee on organization of mourning ceremonies connected with the death of the President of Abkhazia. The body of Bagapsh will be staying in his flat in Sukhumi, Chachba street, 9.

President of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh will be buried on June, 2, in his ancestral cemetery in the settlement of Jgiarda, Ochamchira district of the republic. On the day of the funeral, June, 2, a mourning ceremony of last respects will be held in the building of State Philharmonic of Abkhazia. 

The airplane with the body of Bagapsh will land in the international airport "Sukhum" by the evening of May, 30. May, 31, and June, 1 and 2, are declared mourning days in Abkhazia.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that Sergey Bagapsh died on May, 29, in Clinic No 83 of Federal Medicobiologic Agency of Russia. Vice-president Alexander Anquab will act as President of Abkhazia for three months.
