Russia's SC postpones consideration of cassation lodged by figurants in Ruslan Yamadaev's murder case

Today in Moscow, the Russia's Supreme Court (SC) has considered a complaint lodged by the advocates of Elim-Pashi Khatsuev, Aslanbek Dadaev and Timur Isaev, accused of murdering Ruslan Yamadaev. The court decided to postpone its session till May 25.

For unknown reasons, today no convicts' relatives were admitted into the courtroom. "They didn't let us in without any explanations. But we've come from so far! What sort of justice is it?" Iman, Khatsuev's sister, was outraged.

In the course of the session it became clear that the complaint of Zaur Samkhanov, Khatsuev's advocate, who appeared in court after an illness, should be translated from Russian into Chechen, for all the figurants could read it, including defendant Isaev, who does not speak Russian.

The prosecutor suggested that the meeting be postponed. The court made a consultation and reappointed the session May 25.
