Minister of Public Health of North Osetia accused of misappropriation of budgetary funds

According to the version of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, Minister of Public Health of North Osetia has inflicted damage on the budget to a sum of one million rubles.

This was reported by Yaroslav Gudkov, Deputy Minister of Economic Security of the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs during a coordination session of law enforcement bodies in the Public prosecutor's office of North Osetia. 

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that the authorities of North Osetia were striving for strengthening the struggle against corruption in the republic, admitting that the situation in this sphere "suggests no optimism". The damage caused by corruption-related crimes in the republic in 2010 came to 144 million rubles. News of corruption in different districts of the republic have been regularly coming for several years. 

Criminal proceedings have been started against the Minister of Public Health of North Osetia. The investigation considers that he violated the law yet when holding the office of Head doctor of Mozdok hospital, "Osetia-Kvaisa" reports.

The position of the defendant himself concerning this information is still unknown.
