States ready to pay USD 5M for information on Dokku Umarov's whereabouts
The United States, which had earlier put Dokku Umarov, leader of "Imarat Kavkaz", on the list of international terrorists, are ready to pay remuneration of five million US dollars for information about his whereabouts, says the joint Russian-American declaration on combating terrorism.
The place of stay of the leader of the armed underground of Northern Caucasus Dokku Umarov is known to Russian special services, Alexander Bortnikov, head of the FSB, said on May 24. Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" had reported, citing a source in law enforcement agencies of the NCFD (North-Caucasian Federal District) that the leader of North-Caucasian militants was alive, staying in the territory of one of the regions of Russian Caucasus.
As noted in the joint statement, the USA have included Dokku Umarov into the national programme "Award for Helping Justice" and announced a reward of five million dollars for information about his location, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
