In Kabardino-Balkaria, case against MIA employee who beat detainees sent to court

The inquiry into the criminal case, initiated against an operative officer of the criminal search of the Terek ROVD (District Interior Division), accused of beating up his suspects, has been completed.

According to investigators, on November 25, 2008, the above MIA employee, while being in one of the offices of the ROVD, delivered several punches to the head and then hit with the head on the wall of the office a resident of the Terek District for his refusal to confess of the crime. Furthermore, on June 22, 2010, the same policeman, while in the same building, stroke many punches on the head and torso on another local resident.

As reported by the press service of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), currently the criminal case with the indictment has been forwarded to the court for consideration on the merits.

The "Rosbalt" adds that a presentation has been sent to the MIA of the KBR demanding to eliminate the circumstances that had contributed to committing the crime.
