Oppositionists from Batumi joined the action of protest in Tbilisi

On Tuesday night a group of oppositionists who arrived from Batumi joined the action of protest going on in Tbilisi, in front of the building of the Public TV.

On May, 22, Nino Burjanadze, one of the leaders of "People's Assembly", declared that supporters of the "Georgian Party" and the party "Free Georgia" would join the action.

Up to 200 people are taking part in the action on Tuesday night, in spite of cold wind, "Interfax" reports.

Murman Dumbadze, one of the organizers of the action in Batumi, told the journalists that several motorcades with oppositionists had started from Batumi to Tbilisi at different moments.

"About 20 cars were stopped already at the exit from Adzharia. Licenses were confiscated from the drivers and they could not drive further. Part of the cars were stopped by policemen near the town of Gori. It is practically impossible to drive out of Adzharia in the direction of Tbilisi. There are no buses or even taxis. One can say there is a serious problem with traffic in Georgia today", Dumbadze said.

According to him, up to two thousand people had intended to leave Batumi for Tbilisi to take part in the action of protest.
