Krasnodar holds rally "Victory is no commodity!"

Over 30 students gathered in Krasnodar at the bar "Dikij Koyot" (Wild Coyote) to hold a protest action. They chanted "Victory is no commodity!" and "Victory is not for sale!"

Their indignation was caused by the banner calling to celebrate the "Complete Victory Day in 'Dikij Koyot' Bar". The banner appeared at the entrance to the place on the eve of May 9. It depicted half-naked girls in military uniform and St George ribbon.

The activists were knocking at the door, locked from inside, although the signboard ran that bar is open since 9 a.m. In the course of the action, nobody from among the owners or employees of the bar came out to the protesters, the "Business Newspaper. South" writes.

The NTK TV Company adds that the young people filed applications to the police and the prosecutor's office demanding to bring the owners of the bar to justice.

A similar use of Victory Symbols was noted in Armavir. The stretch banner reading that a show would be held on May 9 with stripping actors appeared on the eve of the Victory Day on the facade of one of the city entertainment centres. The banner depicted St George ribbon at the background of a female silhouette and a Soviet flag, the edition named "Zhivaya Kuban" (Live Kuban) writes.
