Defence insists that suspects of murdering Ruslan Yamadaev are innocent
The advocates of the defendants in Ruslan Yamadaev's murder case state the existence of proofs of their clients' evidences and complain of violations in the criminal case.
The sentence to those convicted of murdering Yamadaev was passed on October 18, 2010. Under the verdict of the Moscow City Court, Aslanbek Dadaev, the direct gunman, according to investigators, received 20 years of high security colony. Elim-Pashi Khatsuev was sentenced to 15 years in a special security colony. The third figurant in the case - Timur Isaev - received 14 years of high security colony. The court also adjudged 5 million roubles from the convicts in favour of the casualty's brother - Isa Yamadaev.
Cassation complaints against the verdict of the Moscow City Court were filed by all the defence advocates. On May 13, the Russian Supreme Court postponed consideration of the complaints till May 25, because not all the figurants of the trial had time to study the complaint filed by Zaur Salikhanov, Khatsuev's advocate.
Relatives were not admitted to the session on May 13. Judge Monekin called it a "misunderstanding" and stressed that the trial was open.
