The Ministry of Interior Affairs in Kabardino-Balkaria signed an agreement of collaboration with confessions of faith

On May, 12, Head of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Kabardino-Balkaria Sergey Valiliev signed an agreement of collaboration with representatives of the three major confessions of the republic and the Ombudsman of KBR. 

"The Ministry of Interior Affairs in KBR is carrying out a significant work on explaining the true purposes of the advocates of extremist ideology and initiates stable efforts to prevent involvement of young people in terrorist activities", Valiliev said at the ceremony of singing the agreement. 

He emphasized the necessity of resistance to biased interpretation of articles of faith used by the gunmen's leaders to justify their criminal activities. 

Representatives of the Moslem, the Orthodox and the Judaist confessions and the Ombudsman of KBR stated their readiness for constructive collaboration with law enforcement institutions. 

The agreement stipulates programs of ethic and spiritual enlightenment of the personnel of the institutions of interior affairs, carrying out joint scientific and research work, educational, social and informational actions and generalization of domestic and foreign positive experience of collaboration between religious and civil organizations with law enforcement bodies. 

The agreement also stipulates that representatives of the clergy will undertake the mission of enlightenment for underage delinquents in temporary custody centers, moral and spiritual rehabilitation of persons who formerly carried out operative tasks in extreme conditions. The personnel of the Ministry of Interior Affairs will provide religious institutions with engineering and technical security facilities and centralized guard on a contractual basis, RIA "Novosti" reports.
