A retired colonel of Federal Security Service in Volgograd region convicted for kidnapping
North-Caucasian district military court sentenced a reserve colonel of Federal Security Service convicted for kidnapping to 10 years of imprisonment.
"Reserve colonel of Federal Security Service was sentenced by Volgograd garrison military court to ten years of imprisonment and a fine to a sum of 300 thousand rubles for kidnapping and extortion", Alena Zhitnik, representative of Press service of the court, reported.
According to the investigation, a neighbour suggested the reserve colonel of Federal Security Service to kidnap his relative who was rumored to be dealing with drug traffic. The man agreed to commit this crime and involved two of his acquaintances in it, "Interfax" reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" also reported that Head of Administration of Novoanninsky district and Chief of the local Department of Interior Affairs were detained for suspicion of taking a bribe from a local entrepreneur.
