On May 17, South Ossetia starts issuing new passports

Following the order given by President Eduard Kokoity to the government, on May 17 South Ossetia should start issuing new passports to its citizens.

"This is not just issuance of new passports, it's also a sort of republic's census," said the President.

According to the official website of the President of South Ossetia, first of all passports should be issued to school graduates; then, other citizens will receive them.

New documents will be issued only in the territory of South Ossetia. The republic has received the first batch of passport blanks of a citizen of South Ossetia, writes the "Rsonews".
