Investigation in Dagestan does not rule out that the journalist of an Islamic newspaper was killed by mistake

According to a preliminary version, Yahya Magomedov, journalist of an Islamic newspaper "As-Salam", might be killed by mistake: he might have been confused with his relative, a police officer, Alkhas Amirhanov, Senior Assistant Chief of Investigative Department of the Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation in Dagestan, reported. 

It should be reminded that the journalist was killed in the evening of May, 8, in the settlement of Kokrek, Khasavyurt district of Dagestan.

Yahya Magomedov was the editor of Avar edition of Islamic newspaper "As-Salam", RIA "Dagestan" reports.

According to a preliminary version, the murderers might confuse him with his relative, a police officer, whom Magovedov had come to see", Amirhanov said.
