Finnish court finds Shamil Basaev's brother innocent in the case of illegal immigration

Today, a trial took place in Finland on the case on illegal immigration of Chechen natives. The defendants Abdulkhamid Mechiev and Mikael Storsjo were acquitted.

According to Oksana Chelysheva, deputy head of the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society, which was closed in Russia and reopened in Finland, the court's decision took effect immediately.

"The court recognized that Mikael Storsjo was guided by principles of humanity, and, therefore, his actions had no crime elements," Oksana Chelysheva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
