Unidentified people committed an explosion and fired upon a police car in Dagestan, one person perished

An explosive device was activated on May, 4, in the highway near the settlement of Nizhnie Makharhimahi, Dagestan, while a police car was passing, then unidentified people opened fire upon the policemen, one person perished, a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic reported today.

Senior inspector cynologist perished as a result of the explosion and his wounded colleague was hospitalized. 

According to the source, several hours after the firing law enforcement officers discovered a gunmen's base not far from the scene of the accident where they impounded 90 cartridges, an explosive device and extremist printed matter, RIA "Novosti" reports. 

It should be reminded that last night some people in the town of Kizlyar fired upon a police post. According to the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs, a policeman perished and several civilians who were passing by at the moment of firing got injured. In the morning a police "Gazel" car with cynologists was fired upon in Sergokala district of Dagestan, one officer perished and another was wounded.
