As reported by Vladimir Fyodorov, press secretary of the Russian Embassy, eight persons were detained on charges of terrorism in the Czech Republic; three of them are supposedly Russian citizens, natives of Chechnya and Dagestan, representing the Jamaat "Shariat".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the Czech police have detained several persons on charges of involvement in terrorist activities, including in Northern Caucasus.

"Eight persons were detained, who represent the organization Jamaat 'Shariat'. According to Czech secret services, among them three are supposed citizens of Russia, in particular, natives of Chechnya and Dagestan. They are quite young people," said Fyodorov.

The Department for Combating Organized Crime has initially detained, acting jointly with special forces, seven members of the organization Jamaat "Shariat". Later, the police detained a native of Chechnya. All the eight were accused of supporting international terrorism, the ITAR-TASS reports.
