In Astrakhan, journalist Oleg Teplischev sentenced to 180 hours of corrective labour

On April 28, a trial was held in Astrakhan on the case of Oleg Teplischev, accused of assaulting Deputy Rifkat Shabanov. Despite the fact that Teplischev was on the sick leave, he was detained on his way to the clinic, and convoyed by policemen to the court.

The session on the case lasted for about four hours. The court found Oleg Teplischev guilty and sentenced him to 180 hours of corrective labour. Place of serving the punishment has not yet been established.

The defence of the journalists intends to appeal against the verdict.
