Explosion in Dagestan contuses five policemen

Unidentified persons triggered an explosive device near a pub in the village of Sultanyangiyurt, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, at the moment, when an operative-investigatory group arrived there; five policemen were contused.

"Last night two unidentified men in masks hijacked a Lada car from a local resident in the village of Sultanyangiyurt; they forced the driver away and drove up to the pub, where they planted an explosive device. It was triggered at the moment of arrival of the operative-investigatory group. As a result, five policemen received contusions," said a source from the Kizilyurt ROVD (District Interior Division).

According to his story, after the outpatient help the policemen were let home.

The source has also reported that at about 6:00 a.m. Moscow time in the nearby village of Khanad, an improvised explosive device in the form of canister was detected. It was planted next to the grocery store. Currently, the venue is cordoned off; and steps are to neutralize the bomb, the "Interfax" reports.

Let us remind you that currently the Tsumadin District of Dagestan is under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. This decision was made after on April 27 in a shootout with a group of unidentified persons in this district one policeman was killed and two more wounded.
