Volgograd Region: militiaman who crippled detainee sentenced to four years in colony

Alexei Tokhtamysov, an operative agent of the Criminal Investigation Department, was found guilty of abuse of office committed with violence by the verdict of the Zhirnovsky District Court.

It was found by the investigation that Tokhtamysov, while in the office of the local district militiaman, inflicted grave bodily injuries to a villager of Klenovka, Zhirnovsky District. Later, medics revealed fractures of several ribs and traumas of internal organs. He had one kidney and spleen removed.

The court sentenced Tokhtamysov to four years of minimum security colony, the IA "Hometown - Volgograd" reports.

As reported by the "V1.ru", the militiaman denies his guilt.
