Krasnodar Territory: ecologists report pollution of Azov Sea

As reported by the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", after an accident at the sewage collector, waste water got into the Yeisk Estuary in the Krasnodar Territory.

According to ecologists, the pollution breakthrough point is in the vicinity of Sadovaya Street in the town of Yeisk.

"As a result of the accident, the surface of the Yeisk Estuary, which is a bay of the Azov Sea, is covered with a layer of faeces. Despite the extraordinary scale of pollution of sea water, there were no reports in the media and no notification of the public through official channels," runs the statement of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", received by the "Caucasian Knot".
