In Krasnodar, Prosecutor's Office accuses Mayoralty officials of fraud
As reported by the press office of the Territorial Prosecutor's Office, several officials of the Krasnodar Mayoralty have repeatedly violated the law, while forming the budget, distributing and using the budgetary funds, placing orders on the purchase of goods, works and services for municipal needs, and in managing and disposing municipal property, including land resources.
As a result of the prosecutors' check, three criminal cases have been initiated against employees of the city administration under the article of "a large-scale fraud", "forgery by an official" and "abuse of power".
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the check has resulted in a presentation moved to the Mayor on elimination of violations of the law; 35 protests lodged against legal acts contradictory to the law; over 100 cases on administrative violations were opened against administration officials; three lawsuits were filed in the courts of general jurisdiction; over 20 materials have been prepared for the Court of Arbitration; and three statements have been directed to the bodies of preliminary investigation for decision-making about criminal prosecution.
