Kadyrov to evidence by means of videoconference at his slander trial

At today's court session on the criminal case on slander initiated against Oleg Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the Human Rights Centre "Memorial", Judge Karina Morozova from the judicial precinct No. 363 of the Moscow district of Khamovniki, has satisfied the petition lodged by Andrei Krasnenkov, representative of the suffered party, to conduct interrogation of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the form of a videoconference on April 28.

Before the videoconference was appointed, Krasnenkov asked the judge to make a break of 5 minutes to call Kadyrov and ask whether he agreed with the date and time of his evidence.

Mr Kadyrov will evidence from the premises of the Supreme Court of the Chechen Republic.

The place of videoconferencing in Moscow is still unknown. The precinct of the magistrate district No. 363 in Khamovniki lacks the required equipment. Krasnenkov suggested that the judge herself should provide the equipment. According to his version, the videoconference can be organized in the premises of the Moscow City Court.
