Woman joins Chechen government for the first time in 20 years

On April 12, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov made some reshuffling in his government and appointed Khadizha Dulaeva to the post of the first deputy head of the administration and Chechen government. Changes were made among top managers of a number of ministries and agencies.

The Chechen government was dismissed on April 5 this year - the inauguration day of the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov, who was appointed for the second term. The formation of the new Cabinet of Ministers of Chechnya should be completed within a month. Earlier, Mr Kadyrov had stated that he had no plans of any radical changes in the local government.

Until recently, Khadizha Dulaeva was Ramzan Kadyrov's assistant.

As reported by the office of the head and government of Chechnya, Khadizha Dulaeva has higher education: she is a philologist, and, apart from the Russian and Chechen languages, she speaks also English and Arabic. She started working in 1995 as a librarian in a school in the city of Grozny; then, she worked for a commercial company. In 2003, Dulaeva came to work for the Committee on Youth Matters of the Chechen government, and successively held the positions of the leading and chief specialist of the general division. In 2006, Ms Dulaeva was appointed assistant of the Prime Minister and later - of the President of Chechnya.
