Fifteen people injured as a result of a road accident in Chechnya

Fifteen people got injured as a result of a collision of three cars. It has been the biggest road accident in the republic during the past several months.

The republican Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the accident took place before noon of April, 21, in Kurchaloy district of the republic. A "Gazel" mini-bus, a "Toyota Land-Cruiser" and a "BMW" collided in a highway between the settlements of Tsotsan-Yurt and Geldagan.

"Fifteen persons got injured in the accident: the passengers of the "Gazel", the drivers of all the three cars and the passengers of the foreign brand cars. All the injured people were hospitalized with traumas and injuries of different extent of gravity. The degree of guilt of all the drivers is currently being established by the personnel of State Traffic Safety Inspectorate", an official of the Ministry of Emergency Situations says.

Our interlocutor considers the accident in Kurchaloy district "the biggest road accident during the past months". He thinks it has been only a lucky chance that there were no victims.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on March, 29, five officers of law enforcement agencies got grave injuries and traumas as a result of a fall of an armored personal carrier from a slope of a mountain in the highland Sharoy district of Chechnya.

372 road accidents were registered in the territory of Chechen Republic in 2010 as a result of which 212 people perished and 572 more persons got wounded.
