Performers and accomplices of murders of Politkovskaya and Khlebnikov are abroad, ICRF reports
As stated by Vassily Piskaryov, Deputy Head of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), at his meeting with Dunja Mijatovic, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, the performers of the murders of Politkovskaya and Khlebnikov and their accomplices are still hiding abroad; however, the ICRF is doing everything it can to catch the criminals.
According to Mr Piskaryov, the ICRF, acting together with operative services, including those in a number of foreign countries, and international organizations, are taking all the necessary actions towards prompt solution of these crimes, the Investigatory Committee reports.
According to the statement of the ICRF, Piskaryov "has expressed his concern that the already established gunmen and their accomplices are still hiding abroad from Russian justice," the "Interfax" reports.
