At Markelov-and-Baburova's murder trial judge passes warning to defence advocate
The court session on the murder case of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova began with the announcement by the chairing judge Alexander Zamashnyuk his decision to warn the lawyer Alexei Nikulochkin, an advocate for the defendant Evgenia Khasis.
The judge said that the defence advocate was not yet disqualified from participating in the litigation, as demanded yesterday, on April 18, by the party of the state prosecution, according to which Nikulochkin repeatedly violated the court order and expressed insubordination to the presiding judge. At the same time, the defence expressed its disagreement with the petition.
Today, the chairing judge has drawn attention of the present media people to the biased coverage of this trial. A special note was made by the judge in relation to lawyer Alexander Vassiliev, who is defending Nikita Tikhonov, for his communication with the media, in particular, about the grouping "White Wolves".
